I can’t let another day go by without expressing our tender love and appreciation for President and Sister Walker and all of you who participated with us in the Mexico “Experience”. Not many events in our lives top the events and experiences of last week. The emotions and euphoria are still very much on our minds. Not a day has gone by since we reluctantly forced ourselves to say good-bye for a season that Patty and I have not discussed the tour and the wonderful spirit we felt all during last week with all of you. Even now as I write this my emotions are on the edge and I find it very difficult to express in mere words the tender feelings I have for you all and for President and Sister Walker. I’m asked constantly “How was your vacation?” “Did you have fun?” “How was it?” and there just isn’t sufficient time to describe it all. Our many friends in our Spanish-speaking Ward are already anxious to invite us to dinner so they can see our pictures. I feel a fireside coming on.
Patty and I will never again be able to listen to “We Are As The Armies of Helaman” without remembering the remnant of Helaman’s Army who sang it for us at Benemerito. Thank you, President and Sister Walker. Thank you all.
Much love to you all!!
